Halo Chlor is the AstralPool option we use when the chlorinator needs to become the centre of a wider control system. It combines 18–45g/hr salt chlorination with touchscreen control, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and expansion into pumps, heating, lights, chemistry and pool/spa automation.

Where this product fits
The chlorinator to choose when the rest of the equipment also needs to be controlled.
Halo Chlor works as a chlorinator on its own, but its real advantage is the expansion path. Halo Hub and XPand add control capacity, while the pH doser and Bluetooth sensors can bring water chemistry into the same system. That makes it particularly useful for attached spas, heating, variable-speed pumps, lights and other equipment that should operate together.

AstralPool's published pool-size figures are manufacturer recommendations, not a substitute for site sizing. We still account for pool use, climate, run time and the broader equipment configuration.

AstralPool's current Australian express warranty (effective 1 February 2026) lists 3 years for the Halo Chlor series, with 1 year on sensors. Halo Hub and XPand are listed at 2 years, and the Halo pH Doser at 1 year. Commercial-use warranty treatment differs.

Do I need Halo Hub with Halo Chlor?
Not for every installation. Halo Chlor can operate as the chlorinator itself; Hub/XPand are added when the equipment-control requirements justify them.
Can Halo control an attached spa?
Yes, with the correct Halo control hardware, actuators and configuration. The exact design depends on the existing plumbing and equipment.
Does Halo automatically control pH and chlorine?
Halo Chlor provides chlorination. Automated chemistry management requires the appropriate Halo doser and sensors.
Can Halo control a variable-speed pump and heater?
Halo supports broader equipment integration, but compatibility is checked model-by-model before we quote the system.
What is the current warranty?
AstralPool currently lists 3 years for Halo Chlor, 2 years for Halo Hub/XPand and 1 year for the Halo pH Doser. Sensors have specific limitations under the current warranty schedule.
