03Before choosing a chlorinator
Pool volume matters, but so do sun exposure, water temperature, run time, salt level, bather load and what else the chlorinator needs to control. A 25g unit is not automatically the right answer just because the previous unit was 25g.
For replacement work we also look at the cell position, plumbing, pump load, available wall space and whether the current setup has features you want to retain—or limitations you want to get rid of.

We do not treat these as three versions of the same product. Each platform suits a different level of simplicity, chemistry control and equipment integration.

We can identify and source replacement cells across a range of common chlorinators. Send a clear photo of the controller label and the complete cell before ordering—similar-looking cells are not necessarily interchangeable.
If the job includes a pool/spa combination, actuator valves, automated heating, pH/ORP control or several pieces of equipment, it is usually better to plan the complete control system first rather than bolt automation onto the wrong chlorinator later.

Repair, cell or complete replacement?
We look at the age and condition of the controller, cell output, error symptoms, plumbing fit and what the replacement needs to control. Sometimes the sensible answer is a cell. Sometimes keeping an old platform alive costs more than replacing it.

That is usually enough for us to identify the existing system, see how it is plumbed and start narrowing down a cell, direct replacement or upgrade. Include any fault message on the display if there is one.
